Why downtown Lincoln has so many ppl wearing red? And waving flags. Some folks are grilling hot dogs and these strange things called "Burgers" there must be at least 4 to 5 hundred people down there . I have never seen anything like it.

Last night I was talking to a Northwestern fan that attended the Nebraska Northwestern game in 2011 in Lincoln. She is from Chicago, well to do, lives fancy, blah blah blah, probably in her 50s, she has tickets as a Stadium Club holder for her family.

She said she could not believe all the million dollar coaches and tailgating in Lincoln. The tailgating was steaks, not hot dogs and burgers.

Then she mentioned all the big screen TVs at the tailgating and the people outside the stadium at the Nebraska big screen TVs. She said she had never seen anything like that in her travels to other Big Ten schools for Northwestern games.

I said, in Nebraska all we have is Cornhusker football, and we like it that way. Then I added, Nebraska is the real NU.
