In the 1973 NFC championship game the Vikings beat the Cowboys 27-10. The Vikings that season were 12-2 and the Cowboys were 10-4. Why was that game played in Dallas??? Both teams won their divisions. There was no wildcard then. It doesn’t make any sense that the game was played in Dallas.

Someone please explain this to me. Their victory was also considered an upset which is odd considering they had a better record.
