I know that was a brutal stretch, but I feel like it's a legit question.

I don't pretend to know a whole lot about the history of Nebraska basketball, but this team probably has the potential to be one of the top 5 or even 3 WORST modern Nebraska teams of all time, no?

We're playing with a 6 man rotation right now.........and Talley is really the only player who saw any real time last season.

And we're hanging with some of the best teams in the country who are playing with an 11 man rotation.

The last 2 games we've played have been flat out unbelievable. To be down 5 to #2 Michigan on the road with only 5 minutes to go...........to be tied with only a couple minutes to go with #18 Michigan State on the road.

Un. Fucking. Believable.

This is why we love Smiles.

This gentleman and his players will do great things in Lincoln. I think they'll eventually exceeed what the women's program is doing (annual NCAA qualifiers).

And that will be fucking awesome.

Next year we have Fuller, Webster, Hawkins, Biggs, and Shields (who led the team with 18 points and 8 rebounds the other night)........

That is two 4*'s and three 3*'s right there........

Not saying we will be great next year, but the 2014-15 season is seriously going to be fun to watch. We have some great talent coming up, and Miles still has more coming.

With regards to next year though, I think you'll see us improve quite a bit. All of the above that I listed will be on roster and are young.........but we also have Gallegos and Rivers back as well. We should be able to go 8 or 9 deep next year and be very talented doing it.

No Shields belongs on the court and should be on the court gaining experience. We need a big body that can bang with some experience coming back. Plus, someone just has to play.

Nebraska is in the unfortunate position of being in probably the best B10 in the last 10+ years. The league has a legit 8 tourney caliber teams and 2 others ( Purdue and NW) that can compete with anyone on any night. I have actually been quite impressed with Nebraska this year and the level of competitiveness I have seen from them. While it hasnt really amounted to wins yet if they keep competing they will beat 2 or 3 teams they shouldnt this year.
