I agree with this, but some day they will have one. There could be a "World" League, made up of the mega franchises, The Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, Cubs or White Sox and Giants, along with a few other cities around the world.
Not without teleportation. You can't play a series in London then fly to Mexico then New York

Also, White Sox WTF?

Montreal looks like they will have the first shot at a new or transferred team. Portland will have to show me something more to beat out Las Vegas for a team. The only way I could see them getting a team in Portland is to transfer an existing team there. They would be able to have some "name" players to rally around.
My point about Portland is based on the fact that they couldn't support a triple A team very well. Similar reason to why New Orleans won't likely get a major league franchise.
Why are they going back to Montreal? Is it going to be so much different than the first go around?

I think the Expos ownership was more to blame than the city. Heck, they didnt even have a tv deal for a few years there at the end. That’s just neglect.

12 teams in 2021 averaged less than 15,000 fans per game. Why in the hell is MLB even thinking of expansion? The game is dying a slow death.

They have an ownership group ready to go now and will have a new stadium built soon.

But does the city want to support the team this time?

I think they will. It was the ownership that blew it last time. They had the product, but the ballpark and marketing were horrible.
