I hope Burns can stay healthy. Someone had to go I'm not surprised it was Setoguchi. I hope he has success in Minnesota. I was never high on Coyle so I'm not sad to see him go either. Disappointed about trading the first round pick though. Even more so if Rattie is still there at 28 as that is who I was hoping the Sharks would draft. Seems like an awful lot to give up for Burns, I hope it works out.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS??!! Coyle is a future stud. seto is a legit top 6 winger now signed 3 years at a reasonable number and a 1st for what amount to a 1 year rental??!! Burns is a very solid player and I'm happy to have him, but he could be gone in one year, and then the sharks trade a huge huge part of their future for a rental.

Also, signing seto and then dealing him will make guys think twice about signing in SJ at a discount. That is pretty damn dishonest from dougie too particularly given all his quotes about seto being on the upside and so on...

This could be a franchise busting move down the line if Burns leaves as a UFA next year. Argh...

I hope there's something more to it that we haven't heard.....maybe this deal was in the works for a bit and Dougie was granted permission to talk to Burns about extending him....who knows. If thats not the case....then i agree....you're giving up a chunk for a year of Burns. If thats the case....change our GM's name from Dougie to Doubie.

I'm 99.9999% sure Burns won't re-sign with SJ, so this is a 1-year "rental"... for Seto+Coyle *and* a pick.
