Burish with a cheap shot on Tavares

It looks like Tavares will probably miss the Rangers game tomorror. However he could be ready for Wednesday against the Caps. He supposedly rode a stationary bike today & will be evaluated tomorrow.

I'm not sure. I think it could be whiplash more than anything else. The Isles aren't going to let JT play until they feel he's 100%.

That makes more sense with both the mechanism and the time frame for return to play...a LOT more. Because if it were his second concussion within a year, he'd be gone for at least 3 weeks. At the VERY least.

The angle is a bit tough to see if Burish really saw him coming or if he was looking off to the side and it was incidental.

Given that Burish does have a bit of a rep though, I'll assume he saw him.

Tox, to your point about the hit, I agree that the hit itself wasn't so bad except that Tavares didn't have the puck. That's a clean hit if he has the puck, IMO, but no puck and that's not cool.

I don't know Burrish well enough to make a call on his intent, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with the play. The Dallas player is skating with a bit of momentum and trying to stay onside. He bumps Tavares but doesn't put anything into it; seems like a freak injury more than anything else.
