He is. I think he was added last winter to protect from Rule 5.

How do you get them on and back off the 40 man? Moreland could play RF in an emergency.

There is always Michael Choice's 40man spot. I don't think there are enough 25man spots to go around though ... unless TEX goes to a 3 man bullpen and lets position players pitch long relief.

Save the spot, Alfaro is going to miss at least 60 days, if not the rest of the year with ankle surgery, looks like 60 day DL is his short term future

On the plus side he got good comments on his defensive improvement this year at least

They're catchers, 80% of the games vs. 40-50% of the games, not to mention he's had pretty good defensive numbers as well

May Chirinos I'll take any day, but April or June Chirinos is just awful and certainly replaceable
