As a Bear fan, all I can say is, wow.. I couldn't imagine a banner of Aaron Rodgers hanging from Soldier Field. Hope this gets figured out or torn down. Dumb to hang this on your stadium. Huh, wonder if we play you this next year, could see a big Jay Cutler up there. >shakes his head at whomever came up this is brilliant marketing move<

It doesn't who you root for, that's plain ridiculous. It's not the Super Bowl or the Pro Bowl, It's a Denver Bronco home game regardless of the home field conflicts of the Ravens. After 30 years of being a season ticket holder I never thought I would see a huge banner of an opposing player on Mile High. I could honestly say I would think it's ridiculous if Manning's Banner was hanging on any other stadium. Just plain silly and embarrassing for the NFL.....

So you think neither Dumervil will get to Peyton? hmm.. How do you feel your backup center will do against Haloti Ngata now that he is back in his natural position of NT? You think he will get any push at all huh? That's very optimistic of you.

So far as D. Thomas is concerned he is a good wr but had only 37 yds in the playoffs last year against a backup cb. Didn't really kill it if you know what I mean. Certainly wasn't the torching Torrey Smith put on your db's for 98 yds and 2 TD's.

Suggs might get close, but Dumervil doesn't stand much chance of even catching sight of Manning, let alone getting a hand on him. Broncos have too much talent at OT. :ranger:

And even if Baltimore does manage to slow down D. Thomas, we still have Decker and now Welker. Last I checked Decker torched the Ravens for 217 yards last year.

Suggs is a stooge..the only person he's getting close to is the water boy

As an NFL fan I can't wait to see this game. Reminds me of when my Bolts went 14-2 in 2006 then got upset by the Patriots at home in the playoffs. The next season us Charger fans were foaming at the mouth for our week 2 matchup against the Pats, then lost by 24 points.

To me this one is a toss up. While the Broncos are rightfully favored I think an awful lot of people are dismissing the rebuilt Ravens defense. They've still got a solid pass rush and Denver's line is questionable. The Ravens still have the speedy receivers and almost the same offense. The Broncos are without Miller and Dumervil and we all know about Rahim Moore's last game.

Like I said Broncos are rightfully favored, but those banking on a blowout may be disappointed.

Relatively same offense? They are missing 2 of Flacco's top 3 targets from a year ago with Pitta and Bolden both gone. Ed Dickson is supposed to miss the game so they are on their 4th string TE who they picked up off the street in Dallas Clark to start the game. At WR right now it looks like Jacoby Jones will be the number 2 and if preseason is any indication the only thing the guy can do is run the fly route and as a number 2 that is not good. They are also breaking in a new Center and the Left Tackle McKinnie I don't even know if he has made it through a whole practice yet without needing a breather so how is he expected to survive at Mile High where the air is thin? I think offensively this might be one of the worst units Joe Flacco has ever played with.

Defensively I agree they will be better than many in the media are saying. They did a great job through the draft and FA of rebuilding from all the lost players but there again they have a lot of new moving pieces and all of that takes time to get together. They are depending on a lot of injured players and rookies to return to form and step up early and often.

I do agree though I don't think this will be a blow out. I hope it will as it would help with some of the pain of what happened last year but a win would be nice as well! Just one more stinking week!

That is certainly true in any NFL game. Never safe to assume even a win, let alone a cakewalk. At the same time, I still think that Denver should have won the playoff game and I suspect that our players feel the same way, so I expect that they will be ready to compete.

So..... I wonder where that big banner of Flacco is now....

I read somewhere that it didnt last through the game. I bet there is a photo out there of John Elway on a ladder truck, armed with a box knife.

I was not. Just because you replaced a bunch of guys with younger guys who look good on paper does not mean squat until the bullets start flying.

Apparently, they have some communication issues in that secondary to work out. And that is putting it mildly.

The NFL had 100 guys in white T-shirts that said, I kid you not, "Banner Team" guarding that thing and when it was apparent the Broncos were on their way to a win at the end of the 3rd quarter, they took it down quietly an it disappeared.

My Brother and I were recruiting people to go tear it down after the game, but it was gone.
