The price seems a bit low. I think they took the best offer from a local buyer, because if they would have been open to selling to anyone, they could have gotten more. But then Bufallo runs the risk of losing them.

From my understanding here in western NY, I believe that a new stadium is in the works and probably will be built in downtown Buffalo. Makes sense business wise rather than Orchard Park. Pegula was the best choice IMO to buy the team.

congrats to buffalo and their great fan-base on the news that they're staying-put,....bills were my ''adopted'' team back in the early-90's when my pats sucked,........our pats almost ended up in st. Louis [st. Louis-patriots?] when james orthwein had them/early-90's ,......jeesh = we had 4 different ownerships in one decade, now that I think of it,.......1)billy Sullivan, 2)victor kiam, 3)james orthwein, 4)bob kraft.

This is just a tentative agreement. Nothing is final just yet.

Once identified as the prospective ownership candidates, the Pegulas would require approval from members of the NFL Finance Committee, which is to meet next week. They would also have to go through an extensive background check by an NFL-contracted security firm.

The final step would be approval from three-quarters of the league's 31 other owners, which could come at league meetings next month. After that, NFL owners are next scheduled to meet in December.

That is exactly what Buffalo is. I lived in Lewiston for two years, which about 30 minutes away from Buffalo. The one thing those guys have is passion for their sports teams, it was refreshing. And the wings are amazing too.

I'd like to say, "what's the worse that can happen?"..... But I'm a Seattle fan, these things can get complicated quickly.
