Like them a lot, but not near enough edge pressure for them to even be considered the best DEF this season imo.
The Bills D is below average.

Football Outsiders has their run D ranked 30th. They are 29th in Sacks. 4th in passes defended. 9th in Interceptions. 19th in forced fumbles. 15th in Red Zone scoring. 21st in Opponent Offensive Touchdowns Per Game. 21st in Opponents First Downs. 12th in 3rd down percentage.

This thread was someone making a prediction and that prediction was wrong.

Yeah, calling out a defense as the best ever before they prove it, is a little extreme ... You have to wait until the season is over and then reflect on how good a defense was... You can't call that out before it happens...

The Bills not being widely known is obvious. We lost Aaron Williams early. He's awesome. Rambo has stepped up, so can't really blame that. But the biggest reason we've been pretty mediocre is the loss of Kyle Williams. One of the best DT's in the league. Nobody mentions him. Ever.

Lastly, we missed Mario this passed week, but Rex has made him almost moot this season anyway. Lead the league in sacks two years in a row, and Rex somehow finds a way to totally reverse that trend.

Not to mention we lead the league in penalties. Meaning, we shoot ourselves in the foot most games.

I'm not even a Bills fan but this defense could literally be the best ever. If you don't know that you just don't know football. That defensive line ALONE is the scariest we've seen in a decade at least. Secondary is awesome. We will have to see how the transition to safety for Graham will go, I for one am a big advocate for keeping what works but he's played safety before and will probably be great. Bradham and Brown form a rock solid ILB duo. They are switching to a 3-4 which would normally be a concern when you had the best pass rush in football in a 4-3 last season but ALL of their D-lineman have played in a 3-4 so the transition should be seamless. The idea of adding one more defensive lineman (Wynn, Charles, Carrington, and Bryant who are all good players) is scary. They have great depth too with Manny Lawson who will be at home in this scheme. This defense will be nothing short of INSANE.
