Davey will always be my favorite manager, but I don't think he's gonna win this one...

Someone's gonna win and I don't think Davey has any intentions of it being a 19 yr old prick with a mohawk. The manager makes the decision and it's always been that way. Safe to say that Davey's tenure is in jeopardy because Harper is the future of the Nats, not him, Sorry to see things head this way in baseball too. I've never developed respect for Harper and this is only delaying that for most baseball fans.

Regardless, a good manager doesn't throw his players under the bus like that. It's a long season to be giving your players the middle finger.

If I were a Nats fan, I would be more worried about the coaching staff not teaching Strasburg how to throw a ball the right way, not Brycieboy running into walls

I noticed Harper hitting .260. Once called the next Superstar as a teenager. Not his fault that the media gushed, but it's gotta be hard to live up to all the hype. Still has lots of upside, but not quite the impact player like MiTrout or even Jose Abreu.

Now Chicago media is hyping Bryant like he's their savior. What a joke!

Players have to learn to shut there mouths... regardless of the sport...I get it Harper is very young, which leads to him doing and saying stupid things but he does need to be put in his place.

Abreu was 27 in his rookie year...basically a finished product. Maybe Harper will never end up having a season as good as Jose did last season, but he has the potential to develop into a much more exciting player than that.

This is the third or fourth post I've seen of yours knocking young, developing players. I'm trying to decide if you're just jealous that the Phillies have no young, developing players worth talking about, or if you just don't know what you're talking about.

Harper reached the majors at 19. Abreu didn't reach the majors until he was 27. Anyone that expects someone to dominate MLB at the age of 19-21 has unrealistic standards.

Please stop making horrible posts.

Yep. Harper's OPS ranks 26th in MLB (just behind Trout) so far, but all he mentions is the AVE.

Say what you will about him being a prick, moron, or whatever and I'm not going to argue, but he's the second youngest qualified player in MLB, this is his fourth season, and so far he's one of the top 30 hitters. If he can stay healthy, he's got a bright future.

Tons of young players have a bright future but you don't see them doing "the hair flip."

He's not living up to the hype.
