Bet it was a blast. Wish I could have been there but had other commitments. I heard on news last night 1.5 million people. They shut down the T in many stations due to the amount of people.

Amazing how the Bruins had the biggest parade out of all our championships. Most will say cause it was Sat and not during the week but I choose to think its cause the BRUINS FUCKING RULE.

The Red Sox parade for the 2007 championship was on a Saturday also, and Boston is really a baseball town first so what does that tell ya?

Imagine being at that game too, that would have topped this week off perfectly.

The Bruins had a fine regular season, but by no means were they regarded as the favourite to emerge from the Eastern Conference (especially after they dropped their first two games at home to Montreal). Winning that series in dramatic fashion (Game 7 OT) just set the tone for this team the rest of the way.

Being able to rally around guys like Tim Thomas, Nathan Horton, and Mark Recchi didn't hurt either. Put it this way, this team really appealed to Boston sports fans in general and they showed their appreciation yesterday.
