Just went back and watched that hit again. 100% he targeted the head and his elbow came up as he hit Paille.

I haven't seen the hit so no can comment.

Headshot for sure, but paille didn't even go down. No elbow, No injury, not a hit on a star, hit by a big name, no suspension.

Such is life with NHL discipline. if they really wanted to get rid of it, phaneuf would be suspended.

I do not disagree with the Ferrence suspension but I fail to see a difference, particularly when you look at Phaneuf's skates he is clearly launching into the hit. Into the head.

Can't really judge that very well with the 2 pictures you provided. Apples to oranges really because of the angle of where the pic was taken. JMO though.

Here is what I used for making my statement on Phaneuf.
1. Shoulder is near to the top of Pallie's helmet in the picture.
2. Phaneuf's skates if they in contact with ice at this point in time it only the toe of the skate.

Ferrence deserved what he got IMO so did Phaneuf.

Phaneuf should get suspended but as everyone is pointing out, he won't. The Leafs were allowed to take runs at Bruins players all night without worrying about repercussions, and getting suspended isn't even an option for them it seems.

He probably should be suspended as well. My only point was that comparing the two hits from practically reverse angles isn't that helpful

I disagree. Both of those shots show hits that targeted the head.

Fact the Bruins had a total of 8 seconds of PP time in game 2 when as BTM mentioned the Leafs could run at and hit anything that a spoked B on with no repercussions.

As I mentioned at the time of the hit if you are gonna call Ference for that then you need to call it on the other side.

Fuck I dont think the NHL is even reviewing it. How can that be?

Could it be they would love the Leafs getting past round 1?

I honestly had not seen the hit. I just watched it and have no issue with the 1 game suspension. Not that anyone cares anyways

With a little time left Orr had a major=cheap shot crosscheck from behind in game 1 as well.

No mention of that either.
