Rask takes it in the SO!!!!

BRUINS WIN!!! 3-2 in the SO. Snapped the 4 game losing streak.

Woo, we needed this one bad! And Montreal lost! :D

We definitely needed this to get back on track. Still looking really sloppy though. We can't keep committing the volume of penalties that we are, this shit is going to kill us in the playoffs.

I was out in the garage listening to this for most of it, but sounded like Rask had a monster game.

The Jackets radio guy was all up in arms on the hit to the Umbergler's head in the second. Will have to seek that out later.

Bergeron's SO shot was clearly over, but no camera angle saw it. Didn't affect anything though.

Kaberle is good.

Congrats on the win and thanks for the point. Will look nice next to the others we've been getting of late.

Columbus looked really good. They definitely know how to take advantage of their opponents screw-ups. Rask was excellent, as was Mason. But Rask won the game for is (as well as Kaberle), your defense was pretty solid in the 1st and 2nd. Both teams offense was relentless in the 3rd. OT was friggin awesome, definitely watch the whole OT period.

It wasn't really a hit to Umberger's head, more like a forearm shove to reverse the other way, at least it seemed, I only saw it when it happened, didnt watch any replays. Was a 50/50 call, could have gone either way.

Bergy's goal, most likely did cross the line with how much Masons body was back in the net, but like you said, in the end it didn't matter.

That shot block by Kaberle... wow, just wow. You guys would have won it.

Just happy to get 2 points, and happy we gave one point to a Western team and no one over here.

But good game, wish you joined in the discussion.

Yep, hopefully this little road trip gets us back on track. The first period was horrid tonight, Second and third and OT we looked good. Like you said, we just gotta stop taking those little dumb penalties. And we are allowing way too many shots. If we can cut down on the penalties and shots allowed, we will be solid.

The problem is that CJ's system allows for shots from the outside, so the only thing we can do is trap through the neutral zone, but teams have been finding a way to run through the neutral zone like freakin swiss cheese. I think a big part of it is having Marchand, Chara, and Bergeron really work on making those tape to tape passes. We have to start activating the D earlier in the game so that we can wear down the other teams defense.

That and they need to stop trying to pass through people. Yes, it looks cool, and can throw players off, but when it doesnt work and turns into a turnover, which happens a lot, it is NOT cool.
