The OL is rough, especially the left side. In week 1, Wes Martin and Geron Christian had the 2 lowest pass-block grades in the entire NFL. They were better in week 2, but with Scherff injured the OL is getting weaker


Haskins' average time to throw is 2.15 seconds. Last in the NFL.

He is under pressure on 35.1% of his

dropbacks, 3rd most.

The receiving core isn't helping out either. Terry seems to be the only receiver getting open and the TE group is arguably the worst in the NFL.


Here's my take on Haskins (it's a long one):

Does he need to be better? Yes. He currently has the lowest adjusted completion % in the league through 2 weeks at 60.7%. He seems to be making the right reads but is constantly missing easy throws.

Now I'm not sure if it's the offense that isn't letting him go deep or he's refusing to throw it, but he has 5 total attempts of 20+ yards. That's tied for 4th fewest.

The name of the game is winning, especially for fans. Owners like Snyder might want to but how many 100's of millions has he made in 20 years? He isn't losing.

Of course the team doesn't have the talent ... yet. Haskins is on a prove it year ... maybe two. He was hand picked by the head coach. Not the scouts. I can't say what he is going to be right now. There should be some worry but one way or the other he is going to get his chance.

The same with all the rest Apke and Turner. The OLine needs to be built.

I am not a young man anymore. I sometimes wonder if I will ever see this team in a playoff where they have a chance to make a run. I'd put my wooden Nickle on that answer being no .... and am thankful the Caps and Nats gave me a real thrill in the past couple of years.

I don’t know how we get there by shortcutting the process . You need to build a consistent winner and I believe it will take time, cliches aside

QBs like Murray are gonna give most teams’ defenses fits. He just makes players look stoopid as he cuts and jukes them. He’s something else. Fun to watch...when it’s not your D, lol.

I agree that we’ve got a shot vs Cleveland. We are a young team and the Browns are a better team at the moment. But football is a week to week game.

no , he wasnt a bad pick at all . he just needs stability (3 HC's 3 OCs in one year ) and you have to understand he has had , get this 5000 less snaps then his peers through college and pro's

our o/line isnt good . he gets a NFL worst 2.15 sec, to throw . he has 1 quality WR , crappy Te's so there are huge issues

the question should be are we willing to give him this year and next to grow ?

i think we should use up tempo more with him because he excels at that . his coaches are saying he is making the right reads but he is missing open wrs .

truth is right now he is playing like jason campbell . in a yr or 2 he could be a quality franchise guy . the issue is do you roll the dice and let him grow ?
