I did not realize that he could not drink alcohol after their season was over.

We are in a good spot at 5 to hear some teams that want to move up.

I know there has been talk about them moving up for a QB, but I have thought Cooper was more realistic from the beginning. He is the best WR in the draft and unlike last years draft, There really isn't a close 2nd. There were some reports that they were going to cut ties with Gordon, even before the latest incident.

I would still be for trading the #5 AND Cousins for some of their picks. A package deal. They could still keep their #19 AND get a QB.

So you are willing to go the season with RG3? It is questionable if McCoy will be back and even if he is, he is not the answer (not that KC is, but he has a greater upside than McCoy).

This all hinges on Oakland passing on Cooper. Josh Gordan, what an idiot.

I personally think he's trying to get himself out of Cleveland, not the NFL.

Keep in mind that, under McCloughan's system, you don't need a franchise QB to have a Super Bowl winning team. Look at what he did during his stints with SF and Seattle. He built around Kaepernick and Wilson, both of whom wouldn't start for about half of the teams in the NFL. (Yes, that applies to Wilson.) The key is to build a stud o-line and supporting cast for your QB on offense. If you do that, your QB doesn't have to do a whole lot.

I disagree completely on Wilson. He would start on almost all teams he played for in my opinion. With the exception of 4 or 5 teams if that.

Yeah, RGIII is a toss up. But obviously now when we are talking dual threat QBs, Wilson is first. He has benefited from Lynch and the best defense in the league, BUT his receiving crew is average. In fact below average. You put him on another team with elite receivers but a bad defense, he still gets them deep into the playoffs. Probably not the superbowl. Kap had the benefit of sitting for a year, I think that helped him tremendously but now he too is suffering from so-so receivers. Boldin can only do so much as a possession guy, and Sherman has destroyed Crabtree's confidence. Cam Newton is a beast still, really can't dog him with what he has to work with. He's showed patience in the pocket and has been willing to run too.
...And good ole' RGIII, who knows what he could have been, and can still be. He brought a lot of injury on himself, and at the same time, I'm not sure the gameplan is being catered to his strengths. Not sure which side of the ball Scott will fix first. I know I went off topic, lol

that is a long ways away. hopefully rg3 and kirk improve this year but as of now one of them is a scared drama queen and the other is an interception machine. maybe draft and take some years to develop grayson properly.

Yeah, that was my thought. Get what you can get for him if the opportunity presents itself. The QB that will take us to the promised land is not on the roster I am afraid.

Yeah I have no idea what more Wilson needs to do to be thought of as more than "average". Andy Daulton is average, Sam Bradford is average. Russell Wilson makes plays that win big games.
