Well his best year was 2017 and the last 2 he’s been OK but he’s only 28 so he’s still got a good few years left I’d imagine.

Big positive is I'm hearing it was the SF 4th rounder we got for Sanders so it's a late pick, big negative is he had a PFF grade of 58 last year so if his play continues to decline we're paying 14 mil for a subpar CB.

Absolutely love this trade. I always look at the entire defense to see why a player fell. Did the rest of the unit struggle and in turn then that lead to that player looking worse or was it that player that actually fell off? For Bouye I would lean towards the entire unit having struggles this past season. Heck Flacco looked decent against them so just goes to show a player on defense can only cover up so many other issues.

Also kind of neat tracking the different trades the Broncos have made. Such as we know the trade down in the draft netted us Fant, Lock, and a 3rd this year.

The Sanders trade where he was gone for half a season is now Sanders and a 5th for a 3rd and Bouye. I'll take that trade off for sure.

Could sign Prince
Slay was an option but with him comes an extension and maybe a higher pick.

I wouldn't be shocked if the Broncos got a guy like Prince for a midlevel contract. Fangio talked about needing 6 DB's and this trade puts them at maybe 4 with Bouye, Jackson, Simmons, and I guess Callahan if healthy.

I'd say - you would ideally want to balance a $15 a year CB with a talented draft pick - and a guy like Prince. I imagine also the Broncos have a pretty good idea whether they can count of Callahan this season.

I would bet they still bring in 2 more CB's. One through FA and one through the draft just like you said. Would be nice to see the unit go from one of the worst units on the team to one of the deepest.

I think after the contracts handed out in FA it is going to make this trade look even better. $13.5 million is going to be a discount compared to what Bouye would have gotten on the open market.

yep, it was a steal. Next year I am hoping we are draft DB 's after seeing the prices expected. nuts for sure.

It will be interesting what the CB contracts look like. I read an article that said Elway is not closed to bringing Chris Harris back even after the trade of Bouye, but the trade for Bouye means that Elway can not over pay for Chris Harris.

Some other CBs I wouldn't mind seeing being signed for the right price:
