Don't think we will be drafting a S in round 1 unless we have an injury there or Justin Simmons has a terrible year two. Stewart got his new deal and it sounds like we are close on a new deal with TJ Ward who recently said he wanted to finish his career as a Bronco.

Also - thanks DC - I did not know about Ward's status. Ward is a catalyst for the Broncos defense - while others tend to make the plays.

A while back it was said the two sides were in talks of an extension. So both sides want something to happen.

Saquon Barkley is a freak.

Seems like a lot of special RB's in the last 3 drafts. Not your typical dime a dozen backs.

We could see a bit of a switch in the NFL back to some of the running game dominating again. Makes sense to try and switch to a run game right now with teams drafting players more to get after the QB than stop the run.

I agree with Carl on this - the Broncos showed the weakness last year - if you have a good pass defense and edge rushers - you better be able to stop the inside run game. This is the Raider's weakness as well.

The defense we have works great if you have an offense that can build a lead early in a game and let the pass rush loose. Unfortunately giving up early points by the defense and our offense being below average we didn't get the chance to take advantage of this great defense like we should have.

its because the defense was built for a peyton offense (somewhat) get the lead, pin the ears back and go get the qb. i would love to develop a smashmouth offense like tennessee

If the QB's blow I think Kelly would get his shot next. I don't see us in market for QB in RD 1.

Ballage needs to do more on the field... He is gonna test off the charts, but he needs to show it on the field. Other then the Texas Tech game he was sorta average thus far. Keep waiting for him to break out but he hasn't at one time Demario Richard was ahead of him and still the starter over him. Ballage should win it this year but he needs a solid year combined with his workout numbers and he will sore. But he needs to be better on the field. He can catch and run. ASU OL is not the best so that has impacted him.

Guice and Barkley are insane.

Wadley is very good. James Butler coming to Iowa will help the wear and tear on his body as Iowa will need to run it 40 times this year. Wadley won't be an elite NFL RB but can be a good one, IMO.

Watch Arkansas RB Devwah Whaley this year. You will fall in love. Give him some time.

Also love Missouri SOP Damarea Crockett and UM JR Rodney Smith who could be a nice 3rd down back in the NFL.

Well it certainly depends where Denver finishes season. I assume if Lynch and Trevor " blow ", your figuring a top 10 pick ? Next year's Qb class is expected to be one of the best in awhile if they all declare. Odds are that that most teams picking ahead of Denver are there because of Qb issues. If the top 5 Qb prospects have the kinda years their projected to have, it will be very costly to move up to get them. Elway would prob go after FA ( Cousins, ?? ) before he would give up a couple number ones for rookie. I don't know though, he might see one of those guys as a no brainer , and pull plug. My guess Elway goes FA/trade Qb and then it's impossible to speculate or guess where else he looks in draft till end of season. Many positions could rise to top of list depending on injuries and performance.
