I thought I read somewhere Jhonny said he wanted to stay in Detroit even if it was in LF???? If we can't resign Omar maybe JP can play second??? Rather have more range but his bat was vital this season.

If he wants to sign for one year and not much more than the $6mil he got last year.....something to consider. I can't see him (at 31) taking a one year deal. Time to move on....unless someone sees him as an every day player, for 2-3 years, for Detroit.

Maybe he signs cheap since he was busted.....him and vmart were the only hitters who showed up in the postseason. I think nick c gets a chance to win LF and platoon with dirks or kelly if he doesnt impress....and if all fails, DD gets a LF at the trade deadline. Main offseason moves should be infante and BP help.....trading max would be huge if we got a decent offer.

A lot depends on the next manager and if the Tigers want to keep Miggy at 3B.

Peralta would be a good fit at 3B or 2B if the Tigers could not sign Infante. The only down side is the Tigers are rumored to be looking for speed and defense.

I think Wallach has a good shot as Dave D likes to go with the familiar and I am not sold that he was entirely happy with Leyland's regime the last year or so. Nothing specific just belief Dave D and JL had differences in opinion on how long to stick with guys.

Dave D has been rumored to be on short list for Commissioner I wonder where that stands?

Let's give DD more credit than wanting to just rehash old players. Peralta and Infante cost too much to bring back to play a position that isn't their best fit. Both want three years. Peralta will be asking over $30mil and Infante probably just under thirty. Both over thirty years old. Think David Freese from St. Louis....maybe for Porcello. However....Peralta said he wanted to return to Detroit - even if it wasn't as a SS. OK Jhonny....put your money where your mouth is...two years at $20mil.
