I heard a report (not sure that it is true) that Robinson wrestled with one of the kids. They are reported to be 15 and 17. I'd like to hear more about that version.

This happens a lot in DC, typically the kids wait for someone to leave their car running and when the driver gets out they steal it. I believe in this situation when things got real for the robbers, they took the scared sucka route and shot Brian, fearing for their own lives. It sucks this happened to Brian but it literally is happening a lot, the older i get the more i lock my doors when driving in DC and keep my head on a swivel

Are you suggesting that if Robinson had a gun, the bad guys wouldnt have initiated the robbery/carjacking?

They would have “just known” that he had a gun, and thus qould have been too scared to do anything?

I’m confused. How would they have known he had a gun?

Yup, if DC had both more guns and more guns out in the open THAT would solve their problems.

I am suggesting that bad guys shoot unarmed people far more often than they shoot those who are armed, other than gang violence.

I am suggesting that if Robinson had a gun, we may have a dead bad guy instead of an injured good guy.

I am a much bigger fan of concealed carry than I am open carry. That being said, if bad guys expect nobody to be carrying because it is illegal for good guys to carry, then bad guys are more likely to commit evil.

Open carry gets you shot first if you are the only one openly carrying. When it is known that everybody is carrying, open or concealed, bad guys do nothing.

I also don’t open carry. That is my choice.

Guns mean you don’t have to pop somebody in the face. Guns allow women to fight back against men, the elderly fight back against the youth, and the weak against the able.

The assailants broke every law in place in regards to carrying a handgun , they were committing crimes

I am willing to bet the suspects have a long criminal record and the justice system failed to do anything to these criminals when they were caught

My only concern is infection, but the fact that they sent him home and didn't require him to rehab at the hospital says a lot.

OK, I'm no doctor or someone who goes around shooting peeps in their knees on the regular so granted my expertise on knees is nonexistent and maybe the medical definition of the knee is much more encompassing than I realize. But to be shot in the knee and sustain no significant damage to ligaments, tendons or bones.....I'm looking at my knee...or what I believe to be my knee right now and I'm thinkin, "How the fuck is that even possible?" I hesitate to proclaim this as a miracle, but I'm not sure simply saying he got lucky suffices either. If I were Robinson, the first place I might've wanted to go is a casino or a racetrack after I was released from the hospital
