At the R & D camp they were tinkering with the OT period before the shootout. I wouldn't be surprised if they start 4 on 4 & if nobody scores after say 2 1/2 minutes they go to 3 on 3 for the next 2 1/2 minutes.

I never really had a problem with ties, and while I don't really care for the shootout I'm not hugely opposed to it. If they ever try to implement it during the playoffs, I will not be a happy camper.
