Walker was safe, but the review was only of the blocking the plate rule.
I wonder if Hurdle could have actually challenged the out call independent of the rule, or if, because of the rule 7.13 review, which Hurdle had no part in, he couldn't challenge.
Locke looks really sharp. The wide strike zone is helping both pitchers, but Locke is really hitting his spots, especially with the fastball on the inner half, and he's using it well to set up his changeup.
The umpiring was pretty terrible today. The home plate umpire had both a gigantic and an inconsistent strike zone. Walker was safe at home. Lucroy should not have been awarded second base.
Good game by both baseball teams, though. Pitching was good, defense was strong.
