Ok, Love had (1) GREAT season at Stanford I'll give you that but...notta since then. Guice (in person) tore up the Panthers and RR was a witness. Guice, Peterson & Gibson will see the field before Love this season imo.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, in fact your scenario is as good as any.

I will ask folks to consider two things.

1. Why Peterson was signed originally.

2. The full on rebuild that's taking place.

Play the young guns. AP may be a casualty of numbers game in the team deciding to keep Love. Heck, I want Love to stick also!

Yeah, that's my take on the rebuild. It's a young man's game whenever rebuild is the subject. I think that the numbers gets him unless at the age of 35 he out plays a young gun. Health of others will also play a role.

It is interesting to note that there are poster's here who tout the importance of the "experienced hand" in these matters. So let me ask you, if years of experience is the metric, how many youthful years of experience would you say it takes to take that leadership role from the 10+ year veteran? (Generally speaking)

Well, we are talking about a HOF in waiting on our roster, kind of a tough one to address since AP is held in such high esteem. Having said that, your right, this is a young man's game and IF all healthy at the beginning of the season, AP has to go. Tough deal for RR because with no on-field practices or meetings with players to see where the health is at, tough to let AP go now. At the cost to keep AP this year, RR may just keep him on the roster as a RB mentor to each. If we keep one of McKissick or Barber, they have enough time in service to wear the badge for the RB room. Between Guice, Love & Gibson, they have a few years to go.

To answer your question, I'm not sure what the cut-off or year of experience would be but more than a few carries and a cup of coffee is required. :D
