wow, i know Walters didn't have a ton of experience, but seems like if you are going to go hire an OC, you'd go with the one that was just leading your 12-0 team. that at least keeps some continuity for next year and he might be able to talk a Frost assistant or two into staying. instead you get another young OC that will probably hire a completely new staff.

Are Frost and staff off the hook now?

One would think. I mean they have a head coach now. Unless they all work out some kind of gentleman's agreement.

But if I were the new coach I'd want to be with my new team as early and as often as possible and practicing and getting ready for a bowl game would be the best way to see what you have to work with next year.

There are rumblings that the remaining (2) coaching staff members from Scott Frosts UCF staff will be joining Scott in lincoln now

the issue i see. how does Heupel put in enough of a system to even call plays? I mean you going to make the kids learn a whole new defensive and offensive scheme in what, 15 practices? SF had a 3-4, maybe Heupel wants a 4-3.

it goes back to what i think SF said somewhere. The whole process is all screwed up. having to leave kids for another job right after the season. there really isn't any way to fix that, because of the early signing period and the early enrollment for some kids that go in the spring as opposed to waiting for fall. Just makes it really hard to do things like this.

From what I'm reading, Frost is still coaching the Peach Bowl. Haven't read anything different as of yet.

Yes.

I'm indifferent. I believe he is using it to finish 13-0 but also as a recruiting trip for Nebraska. Sad for UCF fans because that program has my upmost respect now.

I'm hoping UCF tells Frost "thanks but no thanks".
Auburn opened as a 9.5 pt favorite and would likely dominate. Frost should just go out on top (12-0) with a CCG ring.
More to lose than win by coaching the Peach Bowl, imo.

Probably depends on how much appreciation they have for each other and how much a 13-0 season means to both of them.

In all other scenarios though, if I were the school I'd say "no thanks, you've moved on and we must too."

Recruting exposure for Nebraska.

Frost and Nebraska will be mentioned a lot before and during the game.

You believe Frost is using it for his benefit?

They’re playing one of the strongest teams in theee country. They will not be favored to win that game.

Scott is just a lot like Tom Osborne. He knows that the right thing to do is to not abandon a group of guys that he committed to.

strictly from Bill's comments

“You can’t put a price tag on it,” Moos said. “It’s a three and a half hour marketing commercial for Nebraska football. Because that’s what those guys are going to be talking about, the announcers. They are going to be showing ‘Scott Frost in Nebraska’ and all of this. Then recruits are going to be watching that offense and go ‘boy, I could fit into that.’ I think for whatever small negatives there might be, there are tons more positives.”

I wish Bill wouldn’t have said that :L

I truly don’t think Frost thinks that way though.
