Tough loss.

Definitely had some opportunities to win it.

Gordon Beckham's stat line went 0-2 with 2 strikeouts, seeing a total of 6 pitches and a horrible throwing error that went on to score the winning run for the game.

If you missed that play by Inciarte, don't worry. There will be plenty of replays. What a catch, and to top it off, he doubled off Harper at first.

Poor base running there. That could and should have been a big inning, but Garcia and Pierzysnki both got nabbed trying to take second base on a single.

2 outfield assists in one inning for the Nats' Taylor.

We got 1 run, but should have had at least 3, and possibly more with the lineup turning over.

Those gay little shifts I hate so much came back to bite us, and again, Pierzynski couldn't hang on to the ball on what should have been an out at the plate.

Nats lead 3-1 so far.

And tonight, if the defense is lined up normal, that's a routine grounder to short. Aybar was lined up a lot closer to thrid base than second.

Early impressions:

I'm not very impressed with Erick Aybar, and Gordon Beckham has been useless.

I like what I see from Garcia and Olivera so far though.
