Well it would help if they didn't have one of the highest hate crime rates in the entire country. They are 2nd only to Columbus at this time.

They have also been ranked top-5 for worst treatment of women of cities across the country.

What's a hate crime? How long have hate crimes been measured? If hate crimes are white on black, do they also include black on white? Who did this research and how was the research conducted......link please.

What exactly determines "worst treatment of women"? Killing them? Beating them to within an inch of their lives? Not hiring over qualified or under qualified women? Yelling bad names? Again, research stats please and link.

Anyone can do research and gather numbers. Then take those statistics and twist them to suit whatever it is that you're looking to promote. No Research Company does research and not give the total sample. Private research by colleges and private research companies do not give the total sample and the total sample results.

Massachusets cities have won All American Cities honors 38 times. Boston won it 3 times.

Haha wow somebody is a little defensive when it comes to protecting his city.

here is the cite though that shows them having the 2nd most hate crimes per year. Most of them are race related when it comes to Boston.

10 Most Racist Cities in America Ranked by Hate Crimes - Insider Monkey

I can show you lots of websites that support this...

Heck Google did a search to see which areas of the country use the N-Word the most often on social media and hey Boston is right in the area that uses it most even though they have a high volume of white population...

Most racist places in America, according to Google

If you want more I have lots more where that came from

Cd very slow offseason for you hun? Quoting sources from Insider Monkey? A company know for their work with stocks and hedge funds? The freelance writer speculates what a hate crime may or may not be, going as far to say some arson and property damage could be hate crimes.
I couldn't get your 2nd link to work? So I typed it in. Making the assumption it's the same site, I'm not sure it's supporting your claim?

But hey it's a slow off season so you go boy.

I think numbers spiked after Ted 2 came out. You know what comes up when you do a Google search :dhd:

Like I said I can produce plenty of websites that back that up. I also have plenty of friends that have moved to Boston not just been born and raised in Boston and said they never lived in a more hate filled city in their entire life. I don't think it is just about racism but just hate in general. Been to Boston plenty myself and yeah not a place I want to live any time soon.

Well if you keep producing quality :doh:websites like the last two do us both a favor and please don't.
There is a total different attitude with people from the NE. As is there from the SE, Mid West, NW... If you take a transplant from one of those regions and plop them in Boston they will have a hard time adjusting no doubt. Doesn't mean it's hate or racist. NE are much more aggressive, louder and usually a lot better looking (it was a joke trying to lighten the mood Francis).
I'll go back to their 38 All American cities won verse some freelancer and the word of a couple friends. Just saying.
To be honest I don't want to live there again either. But it's not because of perceived hate or racism, it's the attitude, crowding and cost I choose to do without.

Well my friends that have lived their have seen people beaten in the streets all because of a perceived diss from another person. Saw people chase others down the highway for cutting them off to follow them home and confront them about cutting them off.
So that aggressive and louder isn't just a little thing but leads to actual violence agianst others. Anyway you have your thoughts and I have mine. We both have things to try and back up our point. Just because you don't like the websites I have used or could use doesn't mean there isn't truth to it. The rest of the country does not like Boston. You can call it jealousy but Boston does have a superiority complex that really turns off the rest of the country.

Well first off your first site was all speculation. If that's what you choose for your arguments that's on you but has very little substance to others. The second site had Boston rated at less (or something like that) I'm not going back to it. Again it did nothing to prove your argument.
Now that we have that out of our way let's stop moving the proverbial goal posts. You started off claiming racism, then hate crimes now we're into things like road rage... should I start pulling up human dimension demographics of what happens when people live on top of each other, stuck in traffic, cultural history...yes cd the oldest cities in this contry, with the most people per area are going to have the most problems. You win.
I'll avoid all schools in CO based on friends that have lived there, my visits and the recent violent crimes. Wow this is so easy to do. I could probably find something in every state or city to make a case about.

Well I don't live in Colorado so go ahead. And that first website is not speculating. You realize criminal records are for the most part all public knowledge. So easy to see which cases actually were found guilty of being a hate crime and then figuring out the number per year over a 3-4 year average. Come on now that is not speculation that is just raw stats. Now we could look at population compared to number of hate crimes convicted per state and such if you want as that part was not discussed but you left that out.

As for me talking about friends that have moved their. I was just mixing both stats and then personal experiences of those I've talked to showing that it isn't just about the raw stats but that people who live their have agreed with that assessment. You can throw those out if you want just stating what I have experienced and others of our time in Boston. And you can point to people being stacked on top of each other. I've lived in some of the largest cities in the country and have never heard at such a high rate the same kind of violence I mentioned. Anyway this is a stupid discussion so backing out of it now as not really worth my time.

Something like that has happened to me. I wouldn't characterize that as a hate crime though. That's more an urban / East Coast kind of thing.. Places like Philadelphia have similar reputations

There's no question Boston has a history but it's come a very long way.

didn't say that was a hate crime. Just more of hate in general. I don't think the people cared what race the driver was more that they cut them off.

I've never lived in or worked in Boston. I did live in west Boylston, MA for three years before moving to NH. Prior to that I lived my entire life in Maine with the exception of four tours of Viet Nam. I rarely defend Boston because outsiders have their perception and that's their reality. I don't give much credibility to many websites.

Back to the original subject of this thread........

Brandon Marshall is no longer with the New York Jets, but he might get to play against them twice next season. According to a report from the Boston Globe, there is mutual interest between Marshall and the New England Patriots.

Marshall was released by the Jets earlier this week as part of an ongoing roster purge of older veterans. Nick Mangold and Darrelle Revis each saw their time in New York come to an end, and five more vets -- including Eric Decker and Sheldon Richardson -- could be next.

Marshall stated last season that he was intrigued by the idea of playing for the Pats, given that he has never been to the playoffs in his 11-year NFL career. However, he also said that Tom Brady isn’t the best player ever and that people talk about Bill Belichick too much. So who knows how seriously we can take his interest in playing there?

If he does sign with New England, he wouldn’t be nearly the first high-profile wideout to spent a late-career season playing with Belichick and Brady. The Patriots have been known to bring in ring-seeking veterans they can grab on one-year deals (Chad Johnson and Reggie Wayne), and if they can get Marshall at an agreeable price, he’d make a heck of a weapon for Brady and provide a different look in the passing game.

That's not just a Boston thing. It's not even hate. It's just being more combative and that leads to more road rage type of incidents. Certain big cities do have that reputation and Boston is one of them. Hell at least most don't pull a gun on you...

And yes I would like to see what Marshall has left.
