I am down with Bradly Roby as a player on my team. Roby is not only athletic, but quick witted and opportunistic on the field. Roby makes plays. He still has a ceiling as a talent. I think he could be the defensive back that Draft Crazy always wanted to love.

And in the old house, that was Mr Orange Crush's pick. Great job, OC!

Agree Mingo.

We should really be charged with theft on Roby. Roby was a top 15 pick coming out of college. The OWI raised bigger character concerns then it should have and we snatched him up.

Really our last two first round picks fell in our laps when they shouldn't have. Good drafting by our front office. Roby is physical, runs well, has good ball skills and has a nose for the ball.

Think about it. He has been involved in 3 game winning plays this year. That is pretty rare for a defender.

Game at KC. Marshall knocks it out Roby scopes and scores.

Game vs Pitt- He knocks it our, Ware recovers on our way to game winner.

Game vs NE- He picks off the game winning 2 point conversion.

Roby was my favorite CB the year we drafted him and I'd have never expected him to end up in a Bronco uniform at pick #31... He'd be starting on most teams. It's a crazy to think we probably have 3 of the top 20 CB's in the NFL.

Just to give you crap I would say the NE pick of his had no impact, it was the tip that made the play there. But you are right they have gotten high talent guys in the first. At the time of the draft when our pick came I was hoping it would be Roby

I guess you could say Elway has developed a pattern of taking a guy in the 1st that has a character concern that has been blown way out of proportion that drops their value. Either that or he goes for a guy that has been voted a team captain at some point in college.

Right! That goes without saying, but my point was he ended the game with this INT.. Tip or not he was involved in the game winning play. Talib obviously made the play.

The big thing I notice about him is he does find himself around the ball. He is a very aware player to what is going on around him which is why I think he does find a way to make these plays like recovering or causing a fumble. Heck even his interception was a heads up play to notice the ball popped up in the air. IF you go back and watch the play a NE player was on his way to making a possible diving catch. Roby just happened to be there first. So far have really loved what Elway has done with the draft. His 2013 draft leaves a lot to be desired but beyond that the others have been very good contributors. Heck I will even give some credit to the fact that Schofield has played much better these last 2 weeks. Might have been some truth to the rumor he was more banged up than what was being let on.

First of all - a pet peeve - Roby's "interception" to prevent the tying play against the Patriots - does not go into the stat book as an interception. No conversion interceptions are counted in the stats. Why?? Everyone recognizes it and calls it an interception - except the official scorer. There are a lot of important things to fix in the world, but this ought to be an easy one.

Roby - has shown that he has a knack for being around the ball - presence of mind about the ball - and reacts faster than average players to do something with the ball. His size - athletic package and skill set allows the Broncos to use him in a variety of interesting ways. Roby has also shown a mature interest in improving his craft. I love Talib and Harris, but someone has got to make room for Roby when his contract comes up.

The two Broncos who had the best instincts for the ball in all my years of watching the Broncos are Tyrone Braxton and Billy Thompson. Roby can get there and past these guys in his career.

Tyrone Braxton got beat more than a dozen eggs in a sauce bowl. Especially in SB. I'll give ya Thompson but the only reason Braxton was there as long as he was..they had nothing better. He sucked for the most part of all your years.:)

Okay that's a throw down - it's on Randymon - the dude had 36 interceptions in 12 years - play Corner back for like 8 years and safety for 4 years - he had 9 interceptions in 1996.

Wow! Got any Aleve? My back is killing me after that throw down Mingo.:) Didn't realize he had those numbers and I'll give you that and deservedly so but I still remember him getting beat bad in the big games. I guess those memories stuck with me more. Of course Braxton wasn't only one getting beat in those games either.
