Oh granted. You and me are close to the same age so we've both watched wtf head scratching games. But even with losing a top ol in our center I just don't see the domers as being a good matchup.

The services had committed to the Independence Bowl against a PAC team, then the PAC cancelled and the Independence Bowl cancelled.

Agree it’s a crappy slate with many bowls featuring 6-2 type teams against 3-7 ones.

That said, I absolutely would accept an invite just for extra practice looking to next season.

Wow, I didn't know we'd accepted a bowl invitation. Thought Ray (Tanner) had ruled that out when Maschump got canned. It's ridiculous that:
(a) Army didn't get a bid.
(b) The powers-that-be are going to inflict another 3 hours of lifeless Gamecock football on the masses.
(c) For some stupid reason, Beamer isn't actually going to coach the team in the damn game. Though he will be "around". Makes no sense.

TBH I don't know a lot about Montgomery except that a lot of crooks work there and my Nephew owns part of a brewery he bought into when he was practicing there. He did take an initial cut in pay to move to Auburn to practice so he would not have to pay to send his kids to school. Saving that money for their college.

Army replaced Tenn. in Liberty Bowl. They will play WVU.
