I don't usually post in this forum mostly stick to the Pats forum. Long time ND fan 40+ years now that is simply for reference.

What if ND loses to Clemson in the ACC Championship game, very possible.

Florida beats Bama in the SEC Championship game also very possible.

How do you see the bowls setting up? Does Florida bump Texas A&M? Are Bama and ND out at that point? Would we be looking at

1. OSU
2. Clemson
3. UF
4A&M

or some other scenario that boggles the mind?

Alabama and ND are already in.

1) OSU
2) Alabama
3) Florida
4) ND

ND and florida could flip flop but they will try to NOT have an all $EC championship game.

So a Clemson team which is in now would be out after just beating ND in a championship game? Now I would like that, and I understand we gotta pick someone just curious how that would work.

If Clemson beats ND and UF beats Bama your final four will be

tOSU
Clemson
UF
Bama

Guaranteed.

There is no scenario where Clemson beats ND in the ACC CCG and is left out of the playoff. Absolutely none.

But if ND has one loss to a higher ranked team than UF or Bama had how are they out?

You're talking about splitting hairs on a 2/3 ranking for who had the better loss.

ND's best win would be a Trevor-less Clemson. Bama would have aTm.

In that scenario I would say Alabama, Clemson and Florida would be locks and ND/OSU/A&M would be fighting for the 4th spot. If OSU stays undefeated then I think they would get it. If they lose at all then it would be a debate between ND & A&M, with Notre Dame being more likely to get in, IMO.

No way Clemson beats ND and doesn't get in. Especially considering they're already in at the moment. But also, if they would manipulate anything in the matchups it would probably be to avoid the rematch that just happened in the SEC championship game, not a matchup that could happen one round later.

I also think margin of victory will come into play. However, a UF win over Alabama will look better than Clemson beating ND after already losing to them.

If ND beats Clemson and Indiana runs the table.

Do you put Indiana in over A&M?

1) Bama
2) ND
3) Cincinnati
4) Indiana

In a world where Bama, ND, and Indiana win their CCGs then it probably looks like...

Bama
ND
aTm
Indiana

But it should be like you show.

The only team from the Big 10 with a chance to get into the CFP is Ohio St. And don't forget - the Buckeyes have gotten in before without winning the Big 10.
