Soon as we got up 16 we shut down and packed it in mentally. Wyoming kept fighting and it took everything we had to re-focus and close the game out. I look for us to not do that again. Tim beck left at least 2 more TDs out on the field w/ his stubborn insistence on keeping it vanilla and pounding the rock. The main thing I come away from this thinking: we can play much better and it SEEMS fixable. D needs to play faster, O needs to cut the vanilla shit and let it rip.

Did you notice how Taylor was pretty nonchalant back there? Sometimes, when he was handing off, it looked like he was just sort of walking to the running back, politely giving it to him, and then he was just standing there.

Nebraska will have to show me after the UCLA game. I have drastically lowered my expectatiions, hopefully Nebraska does not do worse than my drastically lowered expectations.

Blitzes not getting there was a big issue. If we're gonna sell out on 3rd down we have to get to the QB. Killed us late.

Some obvious blown assignments by Gregory that Bo talked about really hurt us at times too. Stunting inside and then no one is there to stop the back from bouncing it outside.

I'm usually not one to talk about refs, but I agree. The holding that went uncalled was ridiculous. Some went on right in front of the damn ref and went uncalled.

602 yards is going to be hard to allow 2 weeks in a row.

If we hold Southern Miss to under 350 this week, I'll start stirring up a little kool-aid again for the UCLA game.........but otherwise, I just am not going to make myself believe that we are the favorite to win that game and again wonder why I made myself believe that.

i'm partway through rewatching the game and noticed something pretty positive. on top of everything else he does, Bell is a very smart player. on third down with 8 to go in the 3rd quarter, bell made a "catch" that kinda looked like it bounced. it was ruled a completion and then bell turned to the sidelines and signaled for us to hurry up to the line and snap the ball. good heads up play there, it saved us a 4th down.

Bell is an awesome player, extremely underused like the rest of the receiving corp, it's a love/hate situation we'll never be satisfied with until we have such a QB that plays like the one who just took us for record breaking stats
