big day for the USA today one year after the bombings

my son John is running in the event . at thw halfway point he was at 1 hr 28 minutes . he could break 3 hrs or close to it

he finished in 3 hrs 2 minutes , 36 sec. it was his 2nd marathon of any kind kudos john :suds::10:

Congrats to your son dad, that's a darned good time for anyone not to mention someone in their 2nd ever marathon. Anything over 220 yards and I am toast. :suds:

That's a great time! I had a buddy running in it and he runs them regularly, and he finished in 3:53, so your son kicked ass.

Congrats to you skins! You should be very proud (as I know you are) Kudos to your son!!! That is not easy to finish at all!

I was there at the Athlete's Village unshering the buses in and telling runners where to do. What an experience and I can ONLY image what it must feel like to actually run this race!

Congrats to your son! Amazing accomplishment to even be able to RUN a marathon, much less compete as he did.

Honestly don't know how people can enjoy running those distances. I can swim a mile, ten times easier, than run one, myself.
