that would cost a lot and take away depth from Boston. should be interesting to see how that shakes out. I thought boston learned that not having an individual superstar is a GOOD thing...

If the Bruins offload Timmay as part of a deal to acquire Nash, 43 is going to kill Howson...

Definitely not going to give up Rask.

I'd really hate to see Lucic traded.

And burn this motherfucker down.

So, let's see. A Boston writer? Check. Assuming they are the center of the known universe? Check. Bonus points for misspelling the "source"? Check.

Don't believe Boston was on the list, anyway. Remember, one of Rick's best friends is Big Momma Thornton. He still hates Boston management.

Vancouver, Toronto, San Jose, Calgary (*shrugs*), Detroit, St Louis and New Yawk Rangers was the list, or so I hear. Rumors are that Philly was on the list too, but I also hear that Philly made a play, and Columbus backed out. So who knows?

Vancouver had no interest, TO thought they wanted too much, San Jose said no Couture, Detroit or St Louis would get the entire Arena District destroyed, and NYR don't have the Cap space. So, ummmm, Calgary it is? Welcome Jarome.

According to “The Canon” blog out of Columbus, the Blue Jackets TV play-by-play guy, Jeff Rimer, reported on one of the local radio stations that the Bruins were preparing a “major” offer for the former No. 1 overall pick.

So #1...A boston writer repoted what a Columbus reported reported.

Big Momma? Really? Lets see Nash can sit in Columbus and be a star for a team that has 0 chance at the big prize or come to a legit contender..Fail

So basically your thought about this not being at least a thought is mistaken

Agree on Rask. Lucic while a great season long draw is a joke in the real game...The playoffs. He all but disappears.

As a life long Bruins fan. I can deal with Thomas, Lucic, Krecji all being traded. That being said I am convinced that the Bruins #1 target is Parise.

In any case if you want a stud you have to give up some talent.

One last thing. If I was Bruins management I would not bother with Nash. I would go 100% after Parise. Parise is a better fit for the Bruins.

With what money? They have several roster spots to fill and only like $5 mil left to do it. Unless they make a trade, their roster is pretty set for next year.

Several roster spots to fill? Like what? We have a amazingly young locked up team.

To get a stud like Parise or Nash they would have to trade off some talent for sure. The mentioned players above will be fine. That clears up plenty of cap room and does not screw with the roster terribly.

We have a great young defensemen coming up from the farm and hopefully Horton will be back. Bring in a Parise or Nash and lose say Lucic, Thomas, Krecji and the Bruins will be a much better team.

BTW I will also add that if they make 0 moves the Bruins will still be a much better team next season. They ran out of gas this year. Maybe too much partying from cup win and not enough training but I can bet they will be a big time force to be handled next year.

I can't see Boston trading Lucic. However a deal involvong Krecji, Rask, Hamilton & a 1st round pick would make sense for both teams. I honestly wouldn't give up more than that if I were the Bruins. Heck giving up Rask & Hamilton would be tough.
