If I'm a Bruins' fan, I am not psyched with the refs this period. Most of the calls have been correct, but the Habs definitely got the close calls going there way that period.

The guy gets paid a 7 figure (easily) salary to be the face of a franchise. When idiots, even a few, shine an unfavourable light on that franchise it is his job to respond and distance himself (as a figurehead) and the franchise from a situation that could negatively impact the Boston Bruins.

He did the right thing professionally.

He did the right thing morally (how is bad to speak out against racism?).


I fail to see how anyone could have an issue with Neely's decision to condemn the words of the racist shitheads. If anything his statement could have been more in depth than it was, but no complaints here.


Stop offering backhanded, indirect support for the the racist Bruins fans out there.
