When TTAB now has a youth league pitch count the longer at bats can be decisive in a game. For 12U if a pitcher throws more than 30 pitches in one inning they are done for the day. I put those three kids at the top of the order and ran three starters out of the game in the first inning.

To be fair, one trick pony is the way baseball is headed.

There is very little offense in baseball outside of homers. The HRs are the only thing saving offense from this pitcher/strikeout revolution.

Well I am not a fan of HR or nothing, and this Ranger team has too many of those guys. There has to be a balance of guys that can take walks, or get on base, via base hits also. Well rounded offense is much better IMO

In his last 4 appearances Sam Dyson has pitched 4.2 innings with 6 K's, 1 walk, and 0 earned runs.

His national league era is 3.86

both Bay Area teams have really good pitching coaches. Makes you wonder if our bullpen troubles are management related.
