Agreed, if he did come out can you imagine the scrutiny he would be under? If you think the media is all over him now, it would be exponentially more coverage. A star QB of one of the storied franchises in the NFL in the prime of his career announcing he's gay would be a huge distraction for his team and could have a great impact on the rest of his career.

And I do not say 'huge distraction' as if him being gay were a negative thing. I place no intrinsic moral judgement on sexual preference but the attention itself constantly taking the teams focus away from the field could be very detrimental to their football success.

Idk. Obviously there would be a tremendous amount of publicity if it's true and he were to come out. But aside from affecting his endorsement appeal, I don't see it affecting his play of that his team. If it's true I guarantee plenty of his teammates already know. Nobody on his team would dare give him any crap about it even if they did have a problem with it... not if they want to continue to be Packers anyway.
