Brian Boyle signs a 3 year deal worth $6.9mill, $2.3mill per and Nabokov signs a 1 year deal but salary yet to be announced.

A really like the Boyle addition. Big, physical, gritty, a overall good solid role player who should be a nice fit in out bottom 6.

Nabokov, I said in the Stralman thread would probably the most likeliest to be Bish's backup and that's come to fruition. Again I like the pickup.

This may be Yzerman offseason done and dusted now, It depends on if he feels he needs another bottom 6 forward or does he want the youngsters to play?

I agree we have to be the favourite in the east but the young guys need to step up. I think we don't have to worry about Johnson, Palat, Drouin and Killorn but the likes of Connolly, Kucherov, Brown, and Panik need to step up for us to be successful and give 3/4 consistent lines.

Not sure what your depth is like on D but I think Anton Volchenkov would be a pretty solid addition to your D. He's lost a step and has struggled with some injuries (he has a punishing style of play), but playing limited minutes and using him on the PK he could be a very effective player. Adds grit, vet leadership and he's a shot blocking machine that can still knock guys into next week. On a shorter term deal for not a ton of money it's probably a worthwhile investment.

To be honest I think we can say as Lightning fans that our D finally looks solid. We have Hedman, Stralman, Carle, Gudas, Brewer and Garrison as our top 6 with Barberio as the 7th defenseman, that's a solid D core and our depth in the AHL is pretty good too.

I doubt we make any more moves but if we do it will be for a vet right winger.

I agree Danny, Todd & Bolt! For once I can say that the Bolt's D looks pretty impressive! I guess the only 2 things I can now add are: 1) If Bishop keeps getting injured, Nabokov can surely be a starting net-minder! 2) Is it October yet??????
