John Carlson is having a Calder-worthy kinda night so far.

He has broken up two odd-man rushes, has a goal, and just setup Backstrom for the easiest goal the Caps have missed all year.

Hee hee, I don't have the same curse this season - just when i ATTEND the games. Caps only 2-1-1 at games I've been to. Apparently I need to stay away from Verizon.

Some physicality, lots of fast action. Caps definitely controlled possession and played some really good team defense - only 4 shots by TB in a period? That's not bad at all. You wouldn't know Stamkos was on the ice, but I doubt that keeps up for all 3 periods.

Semin has been playing on the PK all season and doing an excellent job.

Two great back to back kills by the Caps there. Think they actually outshot the Bolts over that 4 mins.

Cool. You can never count us out of a game, even if down 2-3 goals, more so than any team in the NHL. You can also never assume we'll take a game that looks over and not make it interesting, more so than any other team.
