30 for 30: You Don't Know Bo

One of the best things I've watched. I wasn't really old enough to remember him, but his athletic ability has probably never been seen again even today with the way players are coming out of college. I find it extremely sad the way that his career ended. Part of me hates the Bengals for ending the career of a player of that caliber. However if the doctors listened to him when he said he dislocated his hip and popped it back in they probably would have caught the busted blood vessel in time that he could have came back.

The play that impressed me the most out of any of them though was the throw from the track when he threw Harold Reynolds out at home. The only other player I've seen that could throw anywhere near that is Vladimir Guerrero.

I'm also not sure there is a more amazing moment in sports history than the first at bat after he had hip replacement and came back for his first game right after his mother died, he hit a home run.

If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. One of the best things I can remember watching.

my son really likes Bo Jackson since I have introduced him to super tecmo bowl, he rated it 5 out of 5 stars. watch it on netflix before they take it down or decide to charge extra like amazon does some of their stuff.

He's the most amazing athlete I've ever seen. Sanders was a great two sport athlete because of his speed. Bo had the skillset to have been allworld in either sport if he focused his attention there. It was on a whole other level. It'd be like an Adrian Peterson RB talent hitting 30 homeruns as a part time baseball player in the offseason. Once in a lifetime athlete, although he never got to achieve greatness in either sport because of injuries and playing in both leauges

I watched this, it was a great 30 for 30. I remember Bo as a kid, it was right when I started getting into sports and everyone wanted to be like him. This was the early 90's. We all used to like Ken Griffey Jr, Frank Thomas, Deion Sanders, Troy Aikman, Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripkin Jr. great times in American sports.

Yeah, I watched it a few months ago. It was fantastic. ESPN pretty much blows in every possible way, but those 30 for 30 shows are some of the best stuff on TV. If you didn't see the one on Jim Valvano, go find it immediately.
