I am told the BUF-STL trade is "much bigger" than Halak for Miller.
love it for Buffalo as well as long as they can keep stewart and halak. the picks are great

The Sabres now possess 10 picks in the first two rounds of the 2014 and 2015 Drafts combined.
Am I the only one who feels like that is a pretty big overpayment for 2 ufa's? Then again all the players are ufa's I think so maybe not.
On the cesspool at noon today, Lucky Pierre suggested to Matt Sekeres that Ryan Miller and Steve Ott could be on the move.
He also said habs r in on kesler
Did he name drop Galchenyuk or was that Matty S?

I actually like this for both teams but it's ideal for the Sabres.
Halak can face a lot of rubber and perform well. He did just that for Montreal. He'll be important in preserving some of the confidence of all the youth in Buffalo in the years to come.
Stewart is a solid asset who just wasn't getting along with Hitch. I could he see him being awesome with this change of scenery.
Don't know a whole lot about Carrier but Tim Murray has a good eye for under the radar talent.
The picks are nice to have too. Buffalo might be able to use that first to move up in the first round next year (although they may not need to).
St. Louis now has a true number 1 for the playoffs this year, putting Elliott into the backup role where he's best suited.
Ott is meh for me, the Blues have plenty of pest-types. Maybe they can flip Ott to someone else.
