Some of you might wish Blount had not gone to the Patriots, Superbowk win and all.
I'm not convinced he is the Patriots future. He is a big back but he is top-heavy. High center of gravity makes him easier to tackle than his weight would make you think.
I think he is gone from the Patriots after this year. He could fool me and have a great year but I think someone beats him out. Thoughts?

actually most of us were happy to see him go .he was starting to be a cancer on the sideline ,in the locker room and a bad influence on bell .. sometimes its better to just cut your losses and move forward... how goes southy

Definitely agree with Misko... He's a cancer that the team needed to get rid of. Not to mention he was a terrible influence on Bell.

Aside from his character concerns, I think he is a quality 'back. He looks like a bruiser, but has surprisingly nimble & quick feet. I was impressed with how he was able to run during some games, but he struggled to prove his worth during others. He was mainly brought in for 3rd down work last season with PIT, and he was brought in with the intention of a "lower your shoulder and grind it out" type of situation but often couldn't get the job done. I think it was after week 5 or 6 LY that it went downhill for him fast. His YPC were cut in half and he saw less & less snaps. But that wasn't all his fault, Bell was on fire. Tomlin rode that hot hand. A lot of people were concerned with Bell's usage, but looking back I think it was the right thing to do. Blount didn't care for it, hence his tissy fit after the titans game that ultimately got him released.

Overall I don't think he's a premier RB of any kind, but he is capable of getting the job done. He's a big man that runs like a deer. But I just don't think he's trustworthy enough on any given Sunday to be that RB1 that a team needs.

Blount was pretty well exactly what everyone expected. He had his moments but he isn't an every-down rb and has attitude issues. As for him getting a ring, he doesn't deserve one imo. He quit on the Steelers and I wouldn't be surprised if he did it again no matter what team he is on. He isn't worth the bullshit he brings with him and its too bad. What will happen if he doesn't get carries in NE?

Again, Blount I top-heavy. I think if you hit him straight on, he is a beast. If you put a little side thrust into the hit,
he falls like a buffalo.....

It worked out for Blount in terms of getting a SB, but he wants to be the Man and he's not that guy anymore...if he ever was. He's not the 16 game 1000 yd plus type RB. He could've had the Bell back up role for 2 or 3 more seasons.

You could be right but I doubt it.
If someone steps up in pre-season, they will likely start but RB by committee is more likely.....
Maybe Vereen will pull a Blount and walk out on his team, get released, and get signed back to the Pats the day after.
