Justin Blalock - G - Free Agent
OG Justin Blalock announced his retirement from football.

The 31-year-old will hang up his cleats after failing to generate much interest during free agency. He started 125 games over eight seasons, all with Atlanta. PFF graded him 26th out of 78 qualified guards last season.

Should have signed w the Lions when he had the chance. Maybe his heart just isn't in it anymore.

Maybe he's just smart enough to hang it up with plenty of money and some remaining health.

Ya. 31 years old and 8 seasons deep. That's more than a lot of guys make it.

At least 2 teams I've heard wanted to sign him...for less than what he was making...High priced OGs are just not in demand this late in the year especially, but it seemed like he was heading in that direction right after he got released...basically said he wasn't interested in taking a cut, more or less wanted to play out his deal in ATL and call it a career.
