Canucks fans outnumbered Ducks fans about 4 to 1 tonight. Pretty well behaved as well.

Pretty boring game to watch in person, neither team played with that much intensity. The first five minutes of the Kings game yesterday was better than the entire game tonight.

Highlights of the night for me were the anthems and the two hander Selanne gave Kesler. Cam Fowler looks to have smacked into the proverbial rookie wall.

Thats simply not true, or even close. I was at the game cause my buddy from Seattle (Nucks fan) wanted to go. In the lower sections behind the goal where Vancouver shot twice, there were definately more Canucks fans than ducks fans. Overall, there were easily more Ducks fans- although Canucks fans do travel well. Cancuks fans were louder, but a lot of that had to do with the game.

JT the Brick from Fox Sports radio said there were 8000 canuck fans "CONFIRMED" to have flown down from YVR for the weekend and purchased tickets for the doubleheader

not sure how he can "confirm" this lol

yeah, read somewhere there were about a thousand fans at Honda Center. I know that there were chartered bus groups that did the southern Cal trip.

back to the game ... i was very much hoping that Jannik Hansen would drop them with Corey Perry because i was envisioninig a "oh fuck he's euro and he can fight" surprise moment from Perry ... kinda like back in the day when Rob Ray thought Garry Valk was czech and Ray ended up getting surprise ko'ed

i dont think Hansen wants to break his hand on someones face again though ... especially with how well hes playing lately

he looked absolutely lost on goal #1.
would make a pretty good forward though

Duck's chances for making the playoffs dropped 8.9% with the loss.
you're welcome, 29 other teams. NHL Playoff Chances - Sports Club Stats
(I am assuming everyone else hates the ducks, too)

Fans were 10-1 in my section (over Ellis right shoulder) but ducks fans were probably 2-1 overall that being said they couldn't compete with Canuck energy. I was at both games both were impressive representation from anthem to anthem lol we sang the anthem after the ducks game I would search YouTube for after game video it was insane

I now declare Corey perry the dirtiest prick on the ducks he like his head hunting

Also one thing I noticed almost every hit in our corner had someone aiming for a head it's sad these players don't get it

on the last powerplay, I noticed that we had Lapierre and some other scrubs out there.
at first i thought it was to reward the 4th liners, but then I realized it was because we couldn't afford the inevitable cheap shots on the top forwards. It may be hypocritical, but I was pretty glad to see Lapierre answer back on Marchant.

and I REALLY enjoyed seeing Perry get crushed. a lot. fuck him.

that hit by Rome on Marchant was beautifully high ... nice way to end the game ... but then we had to see that putz of a player Beauchemin arrive on the scene and horse collar then head lock Rome to the ice ... miss Prongs and neids much?

oh yeah - Rome, not Lapierre.
my bad.

do you recall who hit Perry?
it was kind of at the edge of the screen, I didn't see who it was.

I was there. There were a lot of Canucks fans. Half the arena was not Canucks fans though.

There were more Sharks fans at a Sharks Ducks game a few months ago when I went, but there are obviously way more Bay Area transplants down in SoCal than Vancouver transplants, so job well done Canucks fans.

Just to clarify earlier, I meant in the general sections around where I was sitting (sec 225, right on the goal line to Ellis right for periods 1 and 3) was about 4 to 1 Canucks to Ducks fans. And the guy I was sitting next to is a Canucks transplant to the OC - but his kid had a Mighty Ducks jersey on.
