which is why i wouldnt classify him as a homer ... he was essentially one of us ... a fan ... and when things went to shit, which happened with frequency (lol), he couldnt mask his frustration

I think so too, but Schonley used to say it all the time in the early 90s during Portland Trail Blazers games. That's where I remember it from.

Tom Larscheid was/is a real personality. Most people not in Vancouver dont know it but he isnt even Canadian and he was an all american running back at Utah State playing on the same team as Merlin Olsen. Yet he ended up doing colour for a hockey team in canada

I like Tomlinson ... he was a journeyman player who did alot of time playing in Europe and ended up marrying a German girl and bringing her back here. I think he'll be a good storyteller because of his past experiences. I dont know if he can match Larscheids level of fan-like passion but he'll be good. Just like larscheid, I see Tomlinson letting out a profanity on air in the future (lol) People at the radio station call him "DCMP" (- don't call me pussy) because of an "incident" that happened in his first week employed by team1040

that being said. Tommy was forced out early and Tomlinson was brought in to just analyze and be a company man.

Ill miss tommy he was fun to listen to. Ill enjoy tomlinsons breakdowns more however from a analytical point
