A potential weakness for SEattle is GASP the secondary!!! Maxwell is gone, Cary Williams brought in to replace him.....Williams was burnt toast all day long last year, now im sure he will be a bit better in Seattles system with our secondary tuteledge but behind him is Tharold Simon who was used and abused by every team we played in the playoffs last year.

Scary stuff.

Cary Williams weakness is one on one downfield DEEP ball coverage. His strength is jamming/aggressive corner style play and guarding sidelines, etc. Thomas will take away the ability to go deep/burn routes on Williams.

Eagles play a similar cover 3 to Seattle from what I've read, but they don't have the safety over the top that Seattle does. Maxwell is flat out a better corner than Williams, but Williams will work himself fine into the offense. The Eagles secondary was atrocious last year and it's no surprise they recognized that even Maxwell can't do it on his own hence Eric Rowe in the 2nd.

I get it. Sometimes you have to pay a bit more to get a player to leave. It is very similar to the Dockett situation. Regardless, it is an upgrade in the run blocking which is what they were looking for.

I am not going to say Az overpaid for him cause he hasn't played a down yet. We'll see how he does this season. The 49ers let Dashon Goldson leave a couple of years ago after TB threw alot of money at him. Turned out to be a great move letting him walk for that money.

The "Palmer is fragile" logic is just being opportunistic for fans to put somebody down. I don't get the Palmer bashing.
If you're QB tore is ACL without anyone touching him, wouldn't you be worried?

But since a Hawks fan brings it up, he's "bashing"

Lane is out with a couple gruesome injuries,

Sherman Thomas and chancellor all played in the super bowl with injuries that got opporated on right after.

Scary stuff.
Tharold is young, do you think he might be able to get better?

I freaking hope so.......CB2 oppo sherman is going to get picked on no matter who he is, Maxwell was able to hold his own, and make a few plays. Simon hasn't shown anything yet, in his small sample size.

Simon was actually pretty good last year until the playoffs. He was just asked to do more than he was capable of in the Super Bowl.

Cam freaking Newton completed some ridiculous number like 12 passes in a row on him.

Which is why I said that he wasn't great in the playoffs. He was a decent player as a nickel but really struggled as a CB2 which isn't surprising for such a young player.

I agree.

Palmer can be laser focused in fact of all the games the Ravens play against the NFCW this year I have this one down as a loss and its bc of Palmer. I think we handle business against the 9ers on the road beat St Louis and Seattle in Baltimore.

Good luck with that.

Seattle doesn't lose primetime games, in fact they usually embarrass their opponents.....
