Why would Marvin give up coaching to become a GM? Especially since he already has a lot of the player personnel power that a GM typically does.

Less work, more money, less blame placed on you.

Head coach is a much more pristine position than GM. None of the above can compensate for that. And Marvin's position in particular is better than most coaching positions in the league just based on the amount of power he has.

How did we choose Dalton over Kaepernick? This guy's arm is so much stronger and Jesus, he is fast. Never watched him in college.

Do you even have to ask?

I am a fan of Kaepernick, but SF's offense made Alex Smith look like a top 10 QB.

We coulda had Harbaugh. Nah, we'll just stick with Marv. He doesn't ask the tough questions of ownership.

We could have never had Harbaugh -- Why would he ever coach for the Bengals?

I agree with this.... Not saying Dalton is better than Kaepernick, but I'm sure Dalton would succeed with Harbaugh.

I'm drunk is my only defense for that statement.

Happens to the best of us. On the bright side, I'm sure we'll have a chance to hire Harbaugh's son - If he has one.

I'm pretty sure he's gay.

I just liked your post and there is a heart next to it. That strikes me as a little gay. Is this what we get with the new SportsHoopla ownership?

There should be a rule on the Bengal's board that if you use the "like" button, it's an automatic ban.

you forget that a lot of free agents don't want to come here because they don't want to pay for their own Gatorade.

Well, based on what they said in that article, those couple players would be real nice to add to our roster, plus our own good free agents and 3 picks in the top 53 picks.

Reggie Bush, RB
LaRon Landry, S

Then resign Andre Smith, Geno Atkins, Michael Johnson, Carlos Dunlap, Adam Jones.

Then we do not need to worry about drafting a safety or running back with our first 3 picks.

Probably be best to draft like CB, OLB/MLB, WR opposite AJ, big fast dude to take some of the double teams off AJ once in a while. Sanu and Jones in the slot.

Why torture yourself by thinking that this scenario is even a remote possibility?
