That is also another problem......

We as a fanbase meltdown every time we lose. Every loss is "the one" that supposedly breaks Bo's back.

After the win at Penn State last week all of a sudden everyone thought Bo would be back.......now we lose to Iowa and everyone thinks he's gone.

Listen to yourselves for crying out loud! You guys are going crazy. Do you think Eichorst thinks that way?

Do you think this would be the case if we were going out and beating who we should beat and in every game we should be in?

This mindset is only because people are tired of being embarrassed on the national stage. Call it a meltdown if you want, I call it a breakdown.

I think it's pretty immature to fire him.....

Some of you like to compare him to Callahan.......that is ridiculous. Yea, Bo has had some bad losses, but he manages to get the team to come back out and play.

If you look at what our team is right now.....really look at what it is, you'll realize that it is pretty damn impressive that we even ended up 8-4 this season. Bo was dealt a pretty shitty hand this season.....and it doesn't help that we're all as fucking stupid as we are.

Grasping @ straw's thar JJM. I can't recall 1 post comparing the 2.

We have 120 million laying around.......

The 7 million isn't gonna be a problem.

I do, however, agree with all those other points that wearegettingthere posted

Before I say anything else- Thank You.

Is that 120 million liquid assets? Can 7 million be withdrawn by Perlman or Eichorst? I'm sure there is some type of checks and balances in place.

The question is if Bo isn't fired:

Will we love Bo if we at least improve to the point where we solidly beat the Northwestern types; beat Fresno and Minnesota; and at least be competitive against Miami, MSU and Wisconsin?

Or is it Conference Championship or bust?

Bo Pelini won't be fired......

And the reason he won't be fired is because Eichorst does not live in a fantasy world.

If we were to turn around and go 4-8 next season, yea......then he's gone.

Go back and look at your pre-game posts and then talk to us who is living in a fantasy world. JJM you can not defend where this program is.

edit: Defend the fake punt inside our 20? Tell me what coach on the face of this earth would do that in the third quarter down by a touchdown? Then tell me that is a not a signature play of the Pelini regime.

So you know we weren't on that train before today but thought it probably wouldn't happen...buddy??

I don't really give a shit what train you were on yesterday, today, or tomorrow.....

All I know is that 90% of our fanbase thought he wouldn't be fired at 10 am this morning, and now they all think he will be fired.

That is laughable. An Athletic Director doesn't make a snap decision like that. Also, Eichorst doesn't share the same love for this team that the rest of us do......we love it so much that we want the change right now. He can see it from a different angle than we can.

I'm not sure if Bo will be fired, but if he isn't, next year will be his last if things don't improve. I mean if we can't even the games we are "suppose" to win, how will we ever be able to beat someone we aren't suppose to beat.

There have been hundreds of posts here doing so

comparing pelini to Callahan?

The only comparison to be made would be; he's too loyal to his assistant's that suck and won't make a change when it's needed.

That would be the only comparison I can think of.

A lot depends on whether or not Eichorst has a coach out there that he likes or not. Bo is obviously not a disaster, but he's not gonna win a national title. You don't replace a coach like that if you aren't satisfied you can find a good replacement. But if you are convinced you have someone special, you have to make a move. Especially because at least two other high-profile jobs will likely be open next year (Michigan and Florida), and a couple of others could theoretically be as well (USC, Texas, maybe even Georgia, LSU, or Oregon).

There isn't anyone I can think of with Wisconsin connections he would jump on. A lot of people think Golden rejected rejected us, so he's a no-go. If there is anyone he really admires, it is likely someone from afar.

He sees it from the angle of all the people that are currently threatening to pull their donations. He won't make a snap decision. He has been deciding this since Minnesota, or even UCLA possibly.

Who says we were supposed to win today???

We have a completely banged up Offensive Line, a Freshmen Front 7, a walk-on 3rd string QB.....

Do you guys really think we are that solid right now? Do you not see the injuries? Ameer Abdullah is running around out there with 2 sprained ankles.......do you even realize that?

And that is a whole separate subject, by the way.

Ameer Abdullah doesn't get enough credit. He is beat to a pulp right now and he continues to just get right back up and go at it. For anyone who has played football, and in particular played running back, you know how difficult that is.

Shit, what he has done this season is practically impossible.

No one in the fan base(other than the fools) was a Bo fan after last week. A close win vs a team with extreme NCAA santons. And we won close games vs N'western and Michigan. If anyone was happy with that then you are fucking high.

I think they stick with Oregeron until they realize they got a fourth-rate SEC coach, which will be after they go 6-6 next year.

This year has to be a big disappointment for you guys, no? If Oregon is 8-4 next year, are you telling me that they don't consider making a move before they lose the momentum Chip built up?

Not one team in the country has suffered as many unfortunate injuries as Nebraska......not even close.

Georgia doesn't even come CLOSE!
