Why I think Bo won't be fired.

1. Injuries.
2. Defense Improved
3. Who's bankrolling the 7 plus million buyout?
4. Who is better waiting in the wings?
5. Does this team really need to learn a new system?
6. Perhaps most important- these kids will walk SLOWLY over hot coals for Bo.

Thanks for asking!

This is a non-sequitor. 7.6 mil over 5 years minus what he makes in future positions during those 5 years.

How much is the fine for him smacking an official in the face going to cost our program. I'm sure that doesn't even come into consideration because the 1.~ in our ~100 million dollar budget annually doesn't even deserve consideration.

What does matter is whether we continue to bring in donations, sell tickets and garner television revenue.

7.6 million over 5 year sis nothing, NOTHING!

Bo is also bound to get fined by the Big 10 for being publically critical of the officials.

"That was a chicken shit call"

We have 120 million laying around.......

The 7 million isn't gonna be a problem.

I do, however, agree with all those other points that wearegettingthere posted

Why I think Bo won't be fired.

1. Injuries. NOT AN EXCUSE
2. Defense Improved
3. Who's bankrolling the 7 plus million buyout? NEBRASKA BANKROLL FOR THIS IS THE LARGEST IT'S EVER BEEN. 100 + MILLION
4. Who is better waiting in the wings? FOR THE AD TO DECIDE
5. Does this team really need to learn a new system? NEEDS A NEW ATTITUDE
6. Perhaps most important- these kids will walk SLOWLY over hot coals for Bo. THEY'RE TOO CLOSE TO THE PROBLEM TO SEE IT

Thanks for asking!

Answers basically coming from interpretation of the radio show.

I don't think Bo will be fired.

I just don't think most of ye are able to put yourselves in the shoes of a new Athletic Director. This is much easier for us to sit on a message board and say "THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW" than it is for the guy who actually has to do it.

I don't think Eichorst is impatient or immature enough to fire Bo right now.

I don't think it's impatient or immature to fire him. If not for the on the field stuff, he would be justified to fire him for his sideline behavior alone IMO. Also, Eichorst is not one to be afraid of making a tough decision like this.

This is a new problem to Eichorst but unless he ahs been in a bubble he knows what has gone on here since his arrival.

edit: and six years is neither immature or impatient unless you are measuring with a kool-aid pitcher..

wonder if your AD was praying when Bo swiped his hat at the official that it would actually hit him. Easy out to fire him and not pay him his buyout.

I think it's pretty immature to fire him.....

Some of you like to compare him to Callahan.......that is ridiculous. Yea, Bo has had some bad losses, but he manages to get the team to come back out and play.

If you look at what our team is right now.....really look at what it is, you'll realize that it is pretty damn impressive that we even ended up 8-4 this season. Bo was dealt a pretty shitty hand this season.....and it doesn't help that we're all as fucking stupid as we are.

Re-read what you just wrote. Is this really who you want your team to be?

Really?!!!!!!

That is also another problem......

We as a fanbase meltdown every time we lose. Every loss is "the one" that supposedly breaks Bo's back.

After the win at Penn State last week all of a sudden everyone thought Bo would be back.......now we lose to Iowa and everyone thinks he's gone.

Listen to yourselves for crying out loud! You guys are going crazy. Do you think Eichorst thinks that way?

Well, buddy, things have changed since then.....

Now everyone is back on the BO MUST GO train

I think it is completely justified to be on the "Bo must go" train at this point. Not only did we just get kicked in the teeth by IOWA, but Bo had several more blow ups that he was supposed to have taken care of. He is the face of the program, and his actions today were embarrassing.

Bo Pelini won't be fired......

And the reason he won't be fired is because Eichorst does not live in a fantasy world.

If we were to turn around and go 4-8 next season, yea......then he's gone.
