I really think Bowman doesn't know how to deal with negotiations. Seriously. This is multiple times now that he hasn't gotten market value for a player. You have to be tough, you can't just let borderline star players take you to the bank.

The happiest person about this contract has to be Shea Weber of Nashville. Weber's agent goes without saying of course.

I imagine this is why I've seen a couple of Dumont rumors. They're probably trying to dump his 4 million dollar salary to make it easier to sign Weber. Of course 9 goals & 8 assists for a team desparate for offense isn't going to bring much back in return especially with that contract.
