Not participating: Alabama, #24 South Carolina, Mississippi State and Missouri.

I think this was a great idea having it in the middle of conference play. Sets up for some really intriguing match ups. Shame for the SEC two of their top 5 teams(Bama and South Carolina) aren't in the challenge. That would have really helped to try and even out the field somewhat. This slate heavily favors the Big 12 IMO.

These all interest me, although the Kentucky Kansas only by name really. KU will blow UK out at the Phog.

I think all these games have meaning except for Tenn/TCU & OSU/Auburn. Both Texas and Texas Tech have the opportunity to pick up a top 100 RPI win, which would go along way towards getting an at-large birth for both of them. Ole Miss/KSU is somewhat of an elimination game for at large purposes IMO. Not saying a win would clinch anything by any means, but it would give them both an opportunity to play their way in IMO, more so for Ole Miss probably.

This type of event really makes me miss the bracketbusters games.

Is Kansas even going to show up? I thought you'd have to drag them to the court after the beatdown UK put on them last year. Not a vintage UK team, but Kansas won't be blowing anyone out Saturday...they'll be lucky to win

I agree Big 12 is better, but the SEC has more to gain and lose I think. SEC locks for the tournament- UK, A&m. I'm sure more make it but Vandy, Ole Miss, LSU are playing for their lives. Florida too. Maybe your right though.
