Maclin and Dez are the hardest to rank. Dez wasn't able to put up the numbers he really should have and Maclin's career was only 2 years. Broyles is also hard to rank because he has a legit case for being #1 just for being so productive but Crabtree and Blackmon really did just destroy people.

Looks pretty good to me. Man I think you could make a case for Malcolm Kelly had he had anybody else but Bomar and Thompson playing qb. for him. Not to mention the injuries too. He routinely hauled in passes at his feet and well over his head. Great hands.

I guarantee you Mike Stoops still has nightmares of the Tavon Austin game in Morgantown. :L

Dez is a problem. He didnt do much in college...I mean, he was a threat, physical freak and all, but what did he really do?

I remember going to games, and didnt hardly know he was playing. You cant put NFL glory on a college list.

Now, Blackmon and Woods, those guys did something in games I remember.

as for example, Shipley: Colt McCoy and Shipley basically pulled that entire team into the Championship game.

The OL was mediocre at best (not one All Big12 caliber player), the leading running back was who? Tre Newton?

Without Colt, and to a lesser extent Shipley, that team was a .500 team.

MY POINT is, you cant make a list based off of NFL success. Need to use their college on field success as the rating.

Like 350 rushing and 80 receiving. Had zero answer for that. Thank Baby Jesus their defense sucked ass or they win easily.

He is a better RB than WR in the NFL but in college he could excel at both.

The problem I have with that argument is that Colt could've done that with any one of...15 or so WRs from the Big 12. Shipley was really good but Colt was what made Texas' offense disgusting imo.

maybe so, but people forget how fast Shipley was...he opened up the field for the other great receiver of those days, Quan Cosby (see him be the star agains OSU in the Fiesta Bowl in 2007 or 08?).

Shipley broke open games, we didnt have anyone else like him. He also ran back kickoffs for TDs. He was a stud. FYI, when he was recruited, expected to do big things. But he blew out his knee, had reconstruction. Next year, he blew out his other knee...when he finally got to play, he tore his hammy. But after 2-3 years of not playing, he then came out and was a star for the remainder of his long time as a Longhorn (medical redshirt)

If Texas doesn't have Shipley, OU beats Texas handily in 08. He literally made OU's secondary/ST his bitch

I have Shipley in my top 10 because he was in a position to succeed and he succeeded. He definitely broke open games. Seemed like he was always open on some deep slant.

Not a wide receiver but Jace Amaro was a pretty good receiver.
